Stunning view
by Tammy B.We had a wonderful time here. It accommodated our family so nicely. The kids were always entertained with the many amenities which meant that the adults could enjoy each other’s company. The view was so amazing! The kitchen was very well organized with labels on all the drawers and cabinets and it was equipped with everything that you need. It’s very close to Bridgerland Adventure and we spent a day there as well as a day at the beach. My family hopes to come here again.

Bear Lake 2021 Family Vacation

by Heather V.The house is very nice, spacious and has beautiful views. 8 adults + children is about the max I would want in the house, unless you want shared room bunk beds.
The house is somewhat oddly appointed; no rugs, rental style couches, no end tables or night stands, no lamps, very few wash clothes (maybe I couldn’t find them) made us wonder if any one actually owned this home.
Several things were broken; basketball game, pinball machine, shelves in basement, banister heading upstairs.
Lastly, their communication was very poor. Checkout on the property is 10 am and we asked for a late checkout prior to completing our booking (via messenger, email and a phone call) they waited until the day after we checked in to decline the request, citing cleaning time. The cleaning fee is almost $400 and 6 hours is a long time to get it cleaned, we were just asking for an extra hour but more importantly wish they had the courtesy to respond sooner.

Beautiful restful retreat
We had a women's retreat for our church with a dozen women at this lovely cabin for the weekend. The kitchen had everything we needed, and we enjoyed the hot tub and the cozy fireplace. There was plenty of space and beds for everyone.

Beautiful family destination

Loved the Shundahai Lodge!
by Karen B.Our family loved this property. There was plenty of parking space for our multiple cars. We had fun in the hot tub, having competitions on the indoor basketball game, playing pool, and ping pong. We spent a great day at nearby Bear Lake on jet skis, paddle boards, and the water trampoline. The kitchen was nice and large, with a pantry for our food, and plenty of seating. And there were big screen TV's in every main room for our down time. On the Fourth of July, we watched the fireworks over the lake from the main level deck. The house has a million dollar view of Bear Lake. We had a wonderful time!

The space is beautiful, as were the views of the lake. The hosts were responsive and access to the cabin was easy to find. The kitchen is well stocked with things you need. We really enjoyed out stay, but did note that there were some points of damage from the previous tenants that didn't interfere too much with our stay, aside from the hot tub.

You can’t argue with the other reviews here…The house is beautiful! HUGE, new home, tons of space, great/modern finishes, fabulous deck with amazing views. Kids loved the game room, basketball & ping pong and the adults loved the pool table. Management was always extremely responsive and booking and check-in/check-out a breeze! We would definitely return. While a great home, there is some room for improvements. As a family who owns a vacation rental and has spent many vacations at rental homes, there are some things that, while not required, are often expected at your vacation home. Below is some feedback and suggestions for the owners. A more detailed email will be sent privately to owners as well. A number of items that were expected (again not required, but often found in vacation homes) were very simple…coffee filters, hair dryers in bathrooms, spices and general kitchen supplies (tin foil, food storage, etc). I find it hard to believe that no previous guest has left any of these items. Do the house cleaners remove these items every time? 90% of the drawers and cabinets were empty. We even purchased a hair dryer, cutting board and a roll of tin foil to donate to the house. I hope they are still there for the next guests! The home can fit 20+ people and they have over 40 coffee mugs but provide a dorm-sized coffee maker that makes about 2 and a half mugs of coffee. We only had 5 adults but had to brew 4 pots of coffee every morning. I recommend investing in a much larger coffee maker for the convenience of your guests. It was kind of a hassle making so many pots of coffee each morning. The home has great furniture but missing coffee tables and end tables. We had to flip over some cardboard boxes that we had brought to set our drinks on while sitting in the living room area around the fireplace. Also, maybe invest in some sort of coat rack/hanger by the entry door so when you enter you can hang your coat easily. The entry closet was locked for owner use and there is no other place near the main entry to hang coats. We had to pile them up on the bar chairs and the stair railing. Another furniture investment would be some sort of clothes storage in some of the bedrooms. The master bedroom had no closet or dresser for clothes. Maybe not a bad thing, but there is no cable or satellite TV service. Each TV has separate apps (some supplied by the owner), but be prepared to figure out how and which app is available on each TV. We wanted to watch Thanksgiving Day football. Luckily we were able to use one of the apps to watch a game. Finally, we’d recommend professional servicing with the hot tub. Everything about this home was great. It's situated on a prime lot, and views of the lake and the mountains are incredible. 4.5 star house. Overall, we had a great time at Shundahai Lodge! The house is spacious with a bit of a cabin feel to it, but with modern amenities. The kitchen was fairly well equipped so we were able to do some of our cooking there. The view of the lake was incredible. The house was quite clean except for the few dead bugs and live flies that are ever-present in mountain homes. Our whole family was able to enjoy the pool table, ping-pong, and basketball. The internet worked fairly well, for the most part. The only drawbacks were minor – a few of the towel/toilet paper racks were lose and kept falling off the walls, there were no washcloths provided (plenty of shower towels, though), and the hot tub, which was supposedly serviced before each visit, didn't seem clean to us (we opted not to use it). There's also no green space so we weren't able to play outdoor games we had brought (though we had already assumed that might be the case after seeing the photos). And finally, the master bedroom (which is beautiful) did not have available closet space for hanging clothes (it seemed to be locked for the owner's use). The location is good, not too far from Garden City and the lake. However, it is currently a bit hard to find for the first time, even once you have the address, because it is not currently properly recognized by Google and Apple maps (it led many in our party to other roads above or below the property and told them to walk to the location). My only suggestions would be to 1., Don't forget to take your own washcloths or loofahs and shampoo/shower gel and 2., Arrive for the first time when it's still light enough that you can read all the street signs, so if your GPS fails you, you can use street signs instead. This is a great place. We'd stay there again.

We really enjoyed our stay! The three levels were set up in a way that helped to keep everyone close and entertained but also give everyone a little space. We had a few families with us and everyone had enough room. We had a great time and there was plenty of room for our large group. The views of the house are amazing and the house was very clean. Good location as it’s a 20 minute drive to the north beach, which was close enough for us. There wasn’t any dishwashing soap in the kitchen so I ran to the market to get some so that we could wash the large dishes and baking trays we used. The kitchen is large and was well stocked with dishes, sliver ware and all basic cooking and baking ware. We were there 3 nights and the only concern I had about our stay was when I had questions (directions/link to the beach, location of dumpster, etc.), management was slow to respond or not clear with their responses and I had to ask multiple times.
