There was a lot to like about the house:
by Becky L.There was a lot to like about the house: fun treehouse and slide that our toddlers loved, the pool that kept older kids entertained, comfy beds, lots of shower/toilet options, two fridges and two ranges with griddles. It was clean and had lots of places to hang out. It was a great house if you mostly eat out.
The only complaints we have are meal centric: that there’s no cups—just ceramic mugs. The island worktop is uneven and quite high. The very few open shelves made the cookware hard to manage. We felt like we were always rearranging pots and pans.There weren’t enough places to sit and eat—only 12 in a home that sleeps 21. It wouldn’t take much to fix these few things and create a 5 star experience across the board.
Thank you for highlighting what you enjoyed about our home, especially the amenities for kids and the comfortable sleeping arrangements. We're taking your feedback on the kitchen and dining areas seriously and will consider improvements for a more accommodating experience.

We had stayed at the Barn years ago and really enjoyed it.
by Craig M.We had stayed at the Barn years ago and really enjoyed it. The house works well for our family of 12 people. While the house is showing its age a bit, it is still a good option for a Bear Lake stay. The major drawback now is they have built 3 more large houses and a pool house right next door. The result is you can have about 100 people all staying in a confirmed 1 block area. It detracts from the feel of the area with people constantly walking past the front door of the house. Also, I once counted 40 people in the smallish pool at one time. The pool is not well maintained and the door to the pool was never secured in entire time we stayed there. Not great if you have smaller children. Parking is also a bit of an issue at the Barn now that all of these buildings have been built adjacent the Barn.

We're glad to hear that the house still works well for your family of 12, though we regret that the recent developments in the area have impacted your stay. We understand how the changes in the neighborhood and the crowded pool area could detract from the peaceful feel you previously enjoyed.

by Kate B.We picked this place because we thought the kids would love the slide in the house and time in the pool in the next building. We were right! Such a fun place to make memories. Even though we visited in April it is still very snowy this year and it was so nice to be about twenty steps from the pool house. We also liked that they were enough separate rooms for showers and toilets in the Barn that we didn’t have to wait turns after swimming. There were a few snags but the management were able to help us with a couple, some people are technology challenged in our group and they use electronic locks. Overall very enjoyable visit.

The Best Getaway

Fun Family Gathering Place
by Marci N.Great place!!! Just a few suggestions: Loved the pool but it took the color out of some swimsuits and it could have been a little warmer. A snow shovel should be accessible to clear a path to car doors. Instructions on how to lock door should be included in email for those who don't have experience with digital key locks. Kitchen should have a hand mixer/beaters and a set of measuring cups.

Stay at the Red Barn

Great Family retreat cabin

The cabin was clean and plenty of room. only down falls were the beds are a little too hard in a few rooms, not enough drinking cups and utensils for a party of 15 or more , no crock pot , no cabinets or pantry to store stuff in and the tv upstairs never worked the whole weekend , and the pool had way too much chlorine and made everyone itch really bad . but on plus side we had the pool to ourselves the whole weekend and the kids loved the pool, sure made it fun having an indoor pool to come back to after being in the cold rzr riding and snowmobiling . Perfect place for a family retreat or reunion highly recommend it

by Lenore D.This is an amazing property. The pool house is the nicest of any property we have ever rented and we truly enjoyed it. Our young children, when not in the pool, played in the tree house and never tired of it. The many bunk beds gave us flexibility with our family groups and were enjoyed by the children. There were some cleanliness, inventory, and maintenance issues that were not major but when totaled interfered with our ability to rate this property with five stars. They would be simple and inexpensive to address and if completed this property would be fabulous.
